Once everyone gets the hang of the blogs, it could be real helpful in a future classroom. It is kind of like the message boards on D2L that we have. A blog gives the opportunity to let everyone post what they are thinking and gives everyone else the opportunity to comment on their posts and give thier opinions. It would be a good way to let the teachers see what the students are thinking by reading their blogs and seeing how thier fellow students are interacting with each other.
The only difference between a blog and D2L is that a blog does not blackout like D2L. I agree that students would be more prone to interact with eachother if they share their common interests in the blog and transfer their new relationships into the classroom.
ReplyDeleteI agree that blogs can be beneficial to teachers. It is always important to know how the students feel. Great post!
ReplyDeleteI didn't even think about compairing it to D2L! That was a very good idea, and I agree with cgoda123 that it definitely works better than D2L. I have yet to have any issues with it not working properly. I thought it would be a great tool for the students to interact and discuss the classroom issues, ask each other questions, etc. Great post!
