I really like Google reader mainly because I like having a site that sends me random facts and information about things such as history, that I'm really interested in.  As far as using this in my personal life, there are many things it does that could be helpful.  You can subscribe to many sites such as websites that have great recipes and sites like that so when you have to cook a meal you can surprise everybody and claim you did it all by yourself.  It is a fun tool for teachers because they could have new information coming in all the time just from subscribing.  Like I stated above with the facts that you can get about different things, in my case history, you can surprise your students with a fact of the day or this day in history kind of thing.  It is just really neat having all these resources they keep coming up with everyday to help you out as an educator.
